Background

Integrated water environment management is a global trend in water related policies and technologies. Many country and entity have been developed it in their own way. As K-water pursues to provide real solutions for water problems such as harmful algal blooms in major lakes and rivers in terms of integrated water management, K-water would like to promote water management technologies and enhance the role of watershed management in order to support the implementation of integrated water management measures.




Scope of the Discussions

The session will introduce cases and challenges of water environment management technologies such as point/non-point source pollution management, total pollutant load regulation, watershed management. This session will provide insight and understanding of not only current technology concept in water environment management but also implementation case study of each country and agency. The session will be an opportunity to share latest technologies in sector of water environment management and grope for the directions of progressing in integrated water environment management technology.
