  • The keynote speech by Professor Hyung-Joon Kim of KAIST on the topic of “Climate Crisis and Sustainable Food, Energy, and Water for Equity” left a strong impression by organizing and presenting theoretical, empirical, and empirical analysis of the relationship between food, energy, and water, which are directly affected by the climate crisis.
  • 11 TIP (Technology. Implementation. Policy) Platform sessions presented a diversity of topics and case studies from all around the world including Korea, Japan, Jordan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan and more.
  • 20 Special Sessions were organized in close collaboration and partnership with various organizations, enterprises and academia, especially on Desalination, Ultrapure Water and Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction and wastewater purification and reuse. 
  • 10 finalists of World Water Challenge 2024 presented in the Final Round, with 4 solutions on ‘Smart Water Technologies’, 4 solutions on ‘Ecosystem and Water’, 1 solution on ‘Water Resource Management’ and 1 solution on ‘Water and Wastewater Treatment.’ The Best solution awarded was “Smart Water City: Technical Solution Platforms as an Evaluation Criteria and Implementation Guidance.”
  • 76 enterprises participated at the Water EXPO during KIWW2024 and had business consultation meetings with invited international buyers from Viet Nam, Kazakhstan, India and Colombia Additionally, docent tours of the exhibition halls were conducted to provide visitors and academic participants.
